Play well. Stay in control.
Gambling should always be entertainment. Here is how we help you keep it that way, and where to get free, confidential help in Ontario.
Last updated: March 24, 2026. Applies to players in Ontario, Canada.
Staying in control
Most people gamble for fun and within their means. To keep it that way, decide in advance how much time and money you are comfortable spending, and stick to it. Treat any winnings as a bonus, not income.
- Only play with money you can afford to lose.
- Set a budget and a time limit before you start.
- Never chase losses — the odds do not change because you are "due" a win.
- Do not play when upset, stressed, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Your safer-play tools
Every account includes free tools you can set up under My Account → Play limits.
Deposit & loss limits
Cap how much you can deposit or lose over a day, week or month. Increases take effect after a delay; decreases apply right away.
Time-outs
Take a short break — from 24 hours up to six weeks — whenever you need to step away.
Reality checks
Session reminders show how long you have been playing so time never gets away from you.
Self-exclusion
If you need a longer break, you can self-exclude from your account for a set period. During self-exclusion we close access to play and stop sending you marketing. Ontario players can also learn about broader self-exclusion options for regulated online gaming through iGaming Ontario and the AGCO. If self-exclusion is right for you, contact our support team and we will help you set it up.
Warning signs
Gambling may be becoming a problem if you recognise any of these:
- Spending more time or money than you intended, or than you can afford;
- Chasing losses, or gambling to escape stress or low mood;
- Borrowing money, or hiding your gambling from people close to you;
- Feeling anxious, guilty or irritable about your play.
